The article is devoted to the emergence and development of modern-jazz dance as a separate direction in choreographic art. The article analyzes the combination of principles, methods and techniques of two dance directions, which later merged and formed a separate style in choreography. The art of choreography, like other areas of human activity, has always undergone development, according to newly introduced rules and traditions in society. Thanks to such changes, new fashion trends, trends, ideas, and techniques appeared in the dance world, which later turned into separate currents or directions. One such example is modern-jazz dance, which appeared due to the combination of two polar styles, but together they were able to form a separate self-sufficient type of choreographic art.uk
