Формулярний список про службу як джерело для просопографічних портретів маловідомих історичних постатей (на прикладі міських голів Одеси початку ХХ ст.)

Abstract

У статті аналізується цінність актових джерел для дослідження маловідомих персоналій і створення колективного портрету завдяки просопографії. Праці сучасних істориків розглядають питання різнобічності та масштабності джерельної бази для створення просопографічного портрету. Нововиявлені формулярні списки про службу міських голів значно доповнюють існуючу документальну базу і суттєво доповнюють відкриті та спірні питання у нерозкритих життєписах очільників Одеси. Введені до наукового обігу архівні справи сприяють подальшому пошуку документів про попередників і наступників міських голів початку ХХ ст. The article analyzes the value of act sources for the study of quite-known historical personalities and the creation of a collective portrait through prosopography as a main method. The works of modern historians consider the diversity and scale of the source base for the creation of a prosopographic portrait. The documents of three Odesa mayors were considered. There were V. Protopopov, M. Moiseyev and B. Pelikan. Vasyl Protopopov was a lawyer, journalist and public figure. Before the appointment as mayor in 1905, V. Protopopov combined his main work with the deputy’s activity of the Odesa City Council. Mykola Moiseyev was a specialist in the judicial sphere. He held positions at the Odesa Judicial Board. Since the end of the ninetieth century, M. Moiseyev actively worked as adeputy of the Odesa City Council. During his rule in the city (1908-1913) there were constant disputes between two groups. There were supporters of the mayor («Moiseyevans») and allies of his main opponent B. Pelican («Pelicans»). Borys Pelikan was a representative of the legal sphere. Before mayor’s post, he held the positions of legal advisers and lawyers in various enterprises. Also B. Pelican was an activist of the monarchical movement in Odesa, a supporter of chauvinism and anti-Semitism. He became as the mayor of Odesa in 1913. The newly discovered formal lists on the service of Odesa mayors significantly supplement the existing documentary base. These official papers add a new information for the controversial issues in the undisclosed biographies of the leaders of Odesa.
