dc.description.abstractУ статті автор визначає основні шляхи удосконалення курсу теорії і методики фізичного виховання рекомендуючи при цьому використання кредитно-модульної системи організації, мультимедійних технологій і використання опорних конспектів текстів лекцій в схематичному і текстовому варіантах. In this article the author defines the main ways of improving theory and methodology of physical education course recommending the use of European Credit Transfer System, multimedia technologies and the use of reference work book in scheme and text variants. Nowadays the main task of higher education is to develop the student's personality, his interest in fundamental knowledge and the need for improving the educational and professional level. This can be achieved under the condition of development of educational technologies which contribute to the enrichment of profes sional, pedagogical and, in particular, professional and methodical training of students. European Credit Transfer Sys tem stimulates systematic independent work of students throughout the whole semester and improves the quality of their knowledge; facilitates the identification and development of creative abilities of students; increases the objectivity of the evaluation of students’ knowledge. Introduction of Credit Transfer System is possible only through the use of differential knowledge evaluation and determination of students’ rating. Professional training of future teachers of phys ical education can be essentially enhanced by the use of information technologies as a teaching tool. All these ways contribute to the interest and activity of students in independent study of the theory and methodology of physical educa tion and the scientific research. On such conditions the teacher acts as an organizer of independent learning of students, a competent consultant and assistant. In terms of prospects it may be noted that such an organization of professional training will provide an opportunity to create a high level of professional knowledge and skills in relation to high quality physical training lessons for students of different ages, mastering the latest wellness technologies of physical education.uk
