Lingua-cultural aspect of the future and professional translators’ work on rendering Ukrainian ideonyms and pragmatonyms in english

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of translation peculiarities of the Ukrainian proper names that represent objects of spiritual and material culture into English. The research demonstrates the results of linguistic and translation analysis of Ukrainian ideonyms and pragmatonyms as well as the main aspects of the future and professional translators’ work on rendering these proper names.Стаття присвячена вивченню особливостей перекладу власних українських назв, що представляють предмети духовної та матеріальної культури на англійську мову. Дослідження демонструє результати лінгвістичного та перекладацького аналізу українських ідеонімів та прагматонімів, а також основні аспекти майбутньої роботи та роботи професійних перекладачів щодо надання власних імен.
